How Does It Work?
Microneedling involves creating tiny punctures in the skin, causing an inflammatory response and forcing your skin to go into ‘healing mode’ – stimulating your natural production of collagen and elastin. This controlled injury to the skin causes micro-canals, which aids in the absorption of serums applied during the treatment to help fight signs of damage and increase hydration in the skin. This two step approach helps to improve skin texture, plumps out scarring, reduce fine lines and enhance overall skin health and appearance.
How Long Will It Take To Work?
Bright, hydrated skin is usually visible within a couple of days once any residual redness has gone.
It can take between 4-8 weeks to start seeing the benefits of improved collagen production, continuing to gradually improve over the course of treatments, optimal results are visible within 2-3 months.
How Long Will The Results Last?
Results from Microneedling can be long-lasting, especially with proper skincare and maintenance sessions. While a single session can offer noticeable improvements, a series of treatments may be advised for sustained benefits.
How Many Sessions Will I Require?
For optimal and long-lasting results, a series of microneedling sessions may be recommended, with a couple of weeks in between each treatment. The number of sessions depends on individual skin concerns and response. Typically a course 3 sessions is recommended to achieve the best results, with a significant discount for pre-booked packages available.
Is Everyone Suitable For Microneedling?
Microneedling is generally safe for most skin types, but individual suitability can vary. It is not appropriate for anyone with;
- A current infection
- Active Acne
- A medical condition that prevents skin healing or increases the risk of infections such as uncontrolled Diabetes or certain auto-immune diseases.

Are there any side effects?
The visibility of microneedling effects can vary based on individual skin responses. Following the procedure, it’s normal to experience redness and sensitivity for up to 72 hours, and you may notice some 'pin prick' marks, which typically lasts a few days. However, with proper aftercare, any immediate signs of treatment are likely to diminish relatively quickly. The goal is to enhance your skin’s health and appearance gradually. The initial post-treatment effects are part of the process, signalling the skin regenerative response. I will guide you through the aftercare process, ensuring you enjoy the transformative benefits of microneedling with minimal and temporary visibility of the treatment itself.
