LED Light Therapy

LED light therapy is a clinically supported treatment that uses specific wavelengths of light to target different skin concerns. Red light is used to support collagen production, reduce inflammation, and promote skin rejuvenation, while blue light is effective in targeting acne-causing bacteria and helping to calm breakouts.

Backed by scientific research, this non-invasive treatment works at a cellular level to improve overall skin health. At The Bloom Wellness Room, we use a CE-certified device that aligns with evidence-based treatment parameters, ensuring both safety and effectiveness.

What is LED Light therapy?

LED red light therapy, or photobiomodulation (PBM), uses specific red and near-infrared wavelengths to penetrate the skin and stimulate mitochondria, the "power plants" in cells. This process boosts adenosine triphosphate (ATP) production—increasing cellular energy—which enhances repair, collagen synthesis, blood circulation, and reduces inflammation, aiding in skin rejuvenation and healing.

How Does It Work?

  • Mitochondrial Stimulation: Red light is absorbed by cytochrome c oxidase, an enzyme in mitochondria, which boosts energy production (ATP) and cellular function.
  • Collagen Production: By stimulating fibroblasts, red light increases collagen and elastin fiber production, promoting skin elasticity and reducing wrinkles.
  • Reduced Inflammation: It can curb inflammatory cascades, reducing cytokine levels which helps with conditions like acne and psoriasis.
  • Improved Circulation: The light encourages angiogenesis and vasodilation, increasing blood flow to treated areas.

What can it be used for?

Evidence is available to show significant results for the following conditions:

  • Skin Health & Aging: Studies suggest red light reduces wrinkle depth and improves skin firmness by enhancing collagen density.
  • Wound Healing: Research indicates that the therapy accelerates the healing of burns, wounds, and injuries by stimulating tissue regeneration.
  • Hair Loss: Research suggests it can stimulate follicle growth to treat androgenetic alopecia.
  • Pain & Inflammation: Red light can reduce inflammation and improve blood flow, often used for joint and muscle issues.
  • Acne: Blue light has been demonstrated to destroy bacteria - which is why it is included within the clear skin facial.

Pricing

LED red light therapy is available as an add-on to all of the treatments available at a special offer of £15 only.
